Characteristic
In angular bearings, at the contact between the ball and the raceway, the action line of the load forms an angle with the bearing shaft. The inner and outer rings are offset, and the bearing is particularly suitable for bearing radial and axial combined loads. The single row bearing is of nonseparable design, which is suitable for high speed and carries the axial load in only one direction. The bearings are usually arranged so that they can be adjusted relative to the second bearing.
Angular bearings can withstand radial and axial loads. The weight of the load is transferred from one ring to another by balls along a specific contact angle.
Contact angles are usually 15 °, 25 °, and 40 °. The larger the contact angle is, the higher the axial bearing capacity is. At the same time, the maximum speed limit decreases with the increase of contact angle.
